QATAR - [ Museum of Islamic Art ] “The Book of Fixed Stars”
I wouldn’t be surprised if they got this from Kabalah. It looks reminiscent of Kabalah texts involving communication with angels. This wouldn’t be surprising given the amount of interaction between Jews and Muslims under Islamic empires. I know that a lot of witchcraft practices in Morocco actually derive from Kabalah. I know that there is a history of such practices in Tunisia as well.
