I jumped the gun on answering and then found these. That just shocked me even more because I didn’t expect the kindness to continue. I don’t know if I could have inspired you to the extent that you say I have, but the initiative you took to offer these encouraging words to me today is truly inspiring and a reflection of your own character. Know that such things don’t go unappreciated, and I’m sure we would have been great friends in college. I’m glad that the faceless medium of the Internet at least offered an opportunity to exchange these thoughts by proxy.
