**over here it is super frowned upon by adults [so kids hide it etc] if under university age but past that it is socially acceptable a bit [from what I have seen] lol or maybe more freedom after highschool but for us in hs it was much diff
I grew up in a really disjointed community with lots of issues, but I knew a lot of parents who were really into monitoring it beneath a certain age too. With some of my Moroccan family its 100 percent unacceptable, but some of them end up secretly dating anyway.
I frankly have no clue what my own family’s dating policy is aside from it being a distraction from school and careers. I honestly never had that discussion with them because I always assumed that even if it is permissible it wouldn’t be worth the trouble.
