Have you read any of Dambisa Moyo’s books on Africa? She’s a Zambian economist with a lot of insightful views regarding the economic development of many countries there.

No I haven’t, but now I have a new addition to my book list haha. Most of the books I have read on developmental economics have been from an outside aid-versus-aid-is-bad argument, so it would be nice to read a book written by someone who actually has lived in an African country.

  1. dfrezh said: I definitely know what you mean. It’s a concept, eh to read a book about African economics by an actual African economist. Ha. Her most famous book is “Dead Aid”. It has a lot of controversial arguments but makes total sense IMO.
