what do you think thus far about the state of the race?

Do you mean in terms of who is winning, or the overall affair? Given the nature of my political views, I’m never going to be one-hundred percent pleased with any of the policy discussed (short of it), but on a more pragmatic, competitive note, I think that its going to be dead even until election day save any serious debacle with either candidate.  Polls have been placing both candidates pretty close, and swing states have been moving to “lean” categories over the past few weeks.

I think that early on people were overly confident in the President winning, and its becoming apparent that the gap is closing now that election day is drawing closer. Something insane could happen, but at the current rate it could be too close to call until the final hours.

I’m sort of wondering if we won’t be looking at another 2000 deal. Its too soon to say much, but its safe to say that its a way closer election in reality, away from Tumblr Land.
