Raffet / Hebert: Journal de L’expédition des Portes De Fer. Paris 1844  (MePri-Coll.)
Pivotal text and wood-block prints of French Orientalism, featuring prominent artists like Adrien Dauzats and Gabriele Descamps. While the nature of the expedition and brutality involved is damning, the detail of these accounts are still consulted by academics due to their great, and often grotesque, detail.

Jean-Luc Melenchon is going to split Hollande’s vote if this keeps up.

When taking France’s economic situation into consideration - which is heading toward the territory of ‘dire’ - this is pretty depressing news.

Top bank experts from institutions like Credit Agricole are saying that France is going for a downhill spiral.

Perhaps the French people are either going to vote pragmatically right again, or very very left.

Also, French politics are way more interesting.
